My name is Zeke. Sometime in my late teens, I fell in love with Judaism but didn’t know how to express it — then I wound up in a “Taste of Judaism” class, and every moment I was in the synagogue I could not stop smiling. That sense of awe and the smile with it never ceased.
I am in the process of converting to Judaism, from a perspective that will hopefully be engaging and enlightening.
My blog title — kvelling — represents what I hope to show through my writing. Kvell, a word with its origins in Yiddish, means to glow; to have an overwhelming sense of happiness and pride; to be delighted. It is a word which represents everything I feel when it comes to Jewishness.
